Hallway and Bathroom

This is the completed hallway.  I have been using little brass grommets to make it easier to align the staircase railing. I like the way it looks and lines up. I haven't found any of my dollhouse furniture and accessories so it is rather uninteresting at the minute.

Unfortunately I spent a good hour or so opening boxes to find my plaster brick making kit that was bought to do the bathroom wall. When it was finally located I realized that I had ordered the slate tile plaster kit not the brick kit. So back to the internet to place another order with The Little Dollhouse Company and now we wait....
I haven't shabbied up the walls of the bathroom yet, but wanted to show of my handmade bead board using cardboard and a utility knife.  I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

I have applied one coat of wax to the floor, but it needs more and then a good old hand polish. Oh, and I put together my little Chrysnbon bathroom kit which is so sweet and perfectly proportioned in my humble opinion.

  2. It's all coming together nicely. The grommets are a good idea for the stairs. And isn't the Chrysnbon bathroom great? It is so cute and fits in even the tiniest of spaces for a great price. Well done with your bead board too!

  3. Good Morning,
Things are looking so good!! Great job on the bead board.
Yes, I agree the bathroom kit is a very nice scale. I used the bath and hand basin for the barely-seen children's bathroom and liked it very much. It is very easy to paint as well.
Snowdrops and aconites appearing ..... At last!

    1. I haven't decided if I want to paint the little bathroom suite. I imagine that perhaps a sprayed on enamel would look best? I will go back and have a look at yours. Congrats on the arrival of spring...sigh, ours is not yet here.

  7. Great progress here and I'm very impressed with your handrail. That must have taken some working out and the panelling is just perfect in the bathroom.
